Sledding and a Sneak Peek

We ventured outside today to play in the snow. We ended up with about 6 inches, plus a thick layer of ice on top. It was funny to walk on top of the snow and break through the ice. The kids got to sled for the first time. They had a blast - the prince more so than the princess. The princess got a little scared if she went to fast or was by herself. The prince thought it was all grand!! Several of the neighbors were also out and we have kids that are the same age, so everyone got to play together. Even the "big" kids (a.k.a. adult) had fun sledding. I haven't been sledding since I was a child. It's amazing none of us hurt ourselves. We live on a big hill, perfect for the big kids to sled down. The kids slid down the smaller hill between the houses.

The king pulling the prince and princess on the neighbors sled. Notice the 4-wheeler in the background. Some people up the hill were using it to pull people back up on their sleds after they slid down the big hill - that's the way to do it!!
Sheer joy on the prince's face and we "fly" down the neighbors driveway and try not to go off the back which ahs a five foot drop!

After lunch and resting a little, I got the crafty bug and headed into the craft area. Here's a little sneak peek at what I'm working on right now for a certain princess that loves all things girly and has a birthday coming up soon . . .
